Ben Maddox is a International Society of Arbor-culture, Certified Arborist and has been practicing Arbor-culture since 1996 after he graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelors of Science degree. Ben then worked for Historic Tree Preservation preserving Live Oaks and old growth on historic plantations in Charleston. Ben has preformed preservation work on the historic Middleton Plantation Live Oaks and one of the largest Live Oaks in the Southeast, called the “Angel Oak”. Ben moved to Taos in 2001 to become the Executive Director of The Bridges Project for Education, a position he retained until 2007. Ben continues to be involved in various community initiatives.

Loren took his ISA Certified Arborist exam in the spring of 2010 and has maintained his certification since. Loren began work in the field of Arbor-culture in 2005 working for High Desert Tree Care. Loren has become a proficient employee, not just in Arbor-culture, but also by managing various landscape projects from water catchment systems to supervising maintenance crews. Loren has worked in the winter seasons at Taos Ski Valley since 2004. Loren enjoys hunting and camping in the Northern New Mexico mountains with his family.
